Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ruddicot Hotel

Inconspicuous hotel where it is not immediately apparent that the lounge bar is open to the public. However, this has its own side door as well as being accessible through reception. Plainly furnished and decorated, although there are some interesting old photographs on the walls. A single handpump can be found on small corner counter, but this dispensed a very decent pint of Strathaven Claverhouse red (£3.10).

A great warm character and friendly pub I found in Stranraer. Comfy rooms and top breakfast. Couldn't beat the atmosphere and price - I'd certainly stay again. Consists of about 8 double rooms, great bar area and dining/function room. Generous outside seating in better weather too...top stuff for bikers! Close to all amenities, railway and the ferry.
