The Wig & Pen is trendy food pub on a raised corner plot with seating behind railings along the external walls and steps up to the corner entrance. The laminate floored interior is L-shaped with a central green painted and tiled L-shaped wooden topped serving counter. Premium keg was available, as was Proper Job, two hand pumps were unused. A mix of wooden furniture runs around the exposed stone and green wood panelled walls, there were plenty of tables free during my recent Wednesday late afternoon visit with the other customers being a lone drinker and a group of four women who were dining. There was some background music playing, but no other distractions. The service was polite and I’m a big fan of Proper Job, but I only stayed for a half because that stuff isn’t ideal pub crawl juice.

A decent looking pub from the outside.
Once inside there is a single L shaped room with the bar on the mid left side,it is carpeted and has normal tables and chairs.
The pub is a St Austell tied house, there were three real ales on the bar,we had a drink of St Austell Proper Job,which went down very well, the other St Austell beers were Tribute and HSD.
We thought this was a pleasant and comfortable pub to have a drink in.

Nice corner street pub with a raised entrance from the road junction entering in to a corner of the now one roomed bar this is a St Austell brewery pub serving HSD and Tribute. there are now Luce bands performing regularly which suggests a change of ownership since our lad visit a few years ago. A friendly atmosphere still exists in here and is Aldo. Handy after walking down the hill from the station before entering the centre of town. Handy for the courts as the name of this place would suggest.
