Judging by the two previous reviews, this is either a great pub or an absolutely terrible one. I take the middle view that it's alright, but certainly nothing special. The barwoman was friendly enough, although admittedly I was one of only three customers, and the beer was OK. It's a basic and sparsely decorated square shaped room with a pool table dominating the middle of the floor and a large screen TV and games machines. My pint of Belhaven Best cost £2.80 and Guinness and Tennant's, Carling and Budweiser lagers were also on draught. There is a separate lounge which was closed on the Friday lunchtime of my visit. The "Be Nice or Leave" sign on the wall suggests that some of the customers might not always be.

One of only 2 bars in Blackridge. The nicer of the 2. The opening hours seem to vary as it's not always open during the afternoon. Suppose only supplies to thirsty locals. The pub is on the wrong side of town for the new train station. That does not help so not a lot of passing walking trade. The road that goes by is the A89 which was the Main Road to Edinburgh before the M8 bypassed. Still worth a visit if talking the leisurely route to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
