As the name suggests, this pub sits on the banks of the River Teith, although this is only really obvious from the attractive beer garden at the back. The main interior area is a commodious, irregularly shaped room with lots of seating. During the day, it was mainly populated by people eating, although it became more publike at night. There are also seats and tables in the outdoor front terrace area, although as this looks on to the busy main road and gets less of the sun during the day, it is less appealing than the section at the back. There is one hand pump, dispensing Deuchars IPA, and Guinness, Strongbow cider and Tennent's and San Miguel lagers were also on draught. A Chinese restaurant and take away is conveniently located upstairs from the bar. The Riverside is a strong contender for being the best pub in Callander, especially on a hot summer day when the back beer garden is very popular.

We always make the riverside our first port of call.Excellent food and a good pint everytime..top venue,with eating area over looking the river.
