The Calderwood was the quietest pub in Bonnyrigg on a recent Sunday afternoon, which may have been down to only Tennent’s being available on keg. There are other products, both standard and premium, but technical issues meant that this would be the venue of my first Tennant’s of many during a holiday in Edinburgh. There are two rooms with the bar being in the left and the lounge in the right. Signs suggest that the lounge is used as a live entertainment venue and that this is a late bar. Televisions are located throughout for live football and I spotted a jukebox on the wall. Maybe this is the place to go at night, but in the day there are better options in the town.
