David Ross left this review about Wallacecave Bar
Given that the J. D. Wetherspoon’s pub next door was selling beer for £1.49 per pint (during their real ale festival), it was surprising to find the Cave so full. Some people are obviously prepared to pay for the cosier atmosphere of this small, quaint, stone walled bar and its even smaller, tartan clad lounge at the side. Two real ales, in addition to the usual things, were on offer and music was playing quietly in the background. The bank and the Clydesdale Inn are right next door if you’re running short of cash. It seems completely unfair that one town can have so many great pubs.
