Strongers . left this review about The Western Inn

The Western Inn is a brisk walk down the hill from town, and not so brisk back up again. On the rear wall is an L-shaped serving counter that faces seating up the left-hand wall and across the front windows. Some steps to the right ascend to more seating, a pool table and a dartboard. The televisions throughout were all off while some background music came from the jukebox. Premium keg was available alongside Carlsberg and lots of different Thatcher’s cider flavours. There are also three hand pumps, the Hobgoblin was off leaving TT Landlord and Ringwood’s Forty-Niner as the cask options. One of the old locals seemed to have a problem with me, but the governor was friendly enough so I think it was worth the trip down.

Last of our pubs on yesterday's crawl, and a busier St Austell's pub with 3 ales on, Tinners, Tribute and Dartmoor. The Dartmoor made a nice change to the rest of the days beers. Sporty pub and lots of trophies cups and shields about. Seems to be for a football team as there were action shot photos on display. Dart board and pool table, and they have entertainment too.

A bit of the beaten track, away from town centre, but presumably was once on main thoroughfare over the bridge. Now sort of on an industrial estate

But do not let this deter you from seeking this out, seems to be plenty of free on street of parking around, despite opposite business having clamping signs

One large L shaped bar, has three handpulls [one not on during my visit] Tinners & Tribute, I had Tinners which was my first pint of this brew, nothing wrong with it, but I later tried the Tribute, which is my preferred tipple. Also has Cornish Rattler cider on tap

Food is available, but not tried it

Pool area separate & is up some steps

Sky sports

Seems to be a popular local pub
