The stone carved bull’s head above the main entrance door is a reminder that this was once “The Black Bull.” It has been totally revamped since then, with an art-deco look, although the black theme survives in the interior colour scheme and bar staff’s clothing. Seating consists of black coloured padded seats against the walls, bar stools and a couple of sofas. Tennents, Staropramen and Stella Artois lagers are all on draught, as are Guinness, Caledonian Best and Magners cider. There are pub quizzes on Thursdays and singers on Sunday evenings. A separate dining area at the back has a brighter colour scheme and a moderately expensive menu.
