A large, modern hotel at the northern extremity of Newtonmore, the lounge style bar here appears to be mainly used by residents, although it is open to the public. Being mid - January, the place was almost deserted and I had to go searching for the barman who eventually served me. The draught selection is limited, with only Guinness (at £4 a pint), Boddington's Bitter, Stella Artois and Blackthorn Cider available. It's plush and pleasant, as you'd expect, but sadly lacking in pub atmosphere. To be fair, though, it might have been better had there been more customers.
