The tiny lounge here is open to the public, but it has very much the appearance and atmosphere of a hotel bar rather than a pub. The only customers were a couple of hotel residents and service was from the adjoining restaurant, by the waitress who worked there. I was half inclined to give it a miss anyway, but when I discovered that there was only one draught beer available (Tennent’s lager), my mind was made up. Located up a small incline at the end of an unlit lane, this isn’t an easy place to find and not really worth finding unless you’re staying or eating there.
