An old village hotel with an impressive frontage, located just opposite the church. The interior has been quite nicely modernised, with a mixture of dining tables and comfortable seating in areas to the front and stretching off to the back. Beers are from St Austell and I was pleased to find Sugar Plum Porter from their small batch brews, which was absolutely delicious. The place was friendly enough, although with a slightly corporate feel rather than local pub stmosphere, but would happily return for pint or two.

Visited a couple of timesin August 2010. Both times staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was good, Cornish rattler cider just what was needed after a long hot walk. Would happily return when down that way next.

A wonderful Village pub full of character and characters.
Top quality chefs delivering really good locally produced meals at very reasonable prices. Six letting rooms all en-suite.
An outside decking area whic can be a bit of a sun trap so we have a large heated umbrella to provide shelter or heat when the sun goes in.
A large car park at the rear so parking in this lovely village does not have to be a problem.
