Sorry to say, but on all my visits to this pub, spread across many years, there's always been at least one fly that's interrupted my lunch. Why is that?
The food is alright, the beer selection more or less what you'd expect (Doom Bar). There are nicer ciders in Cornwall than Rattler and so it's a shame this is the major one on offer here. It's never going to win Most Welcoming Pub Award.

Large village pub close to stately home. Large main bar with a smaller games room; patio area at front and car park behind. Beers from St Austell and food.
