The Pool of Feathers is situated on a main road in Pool just west of Redruth. It didn't look open when I approached, but lo and behold, I tried the door and gained entry.
A few locals were present. Music was playing in the background, but you couldn't describe the atmosphere as lively.
Most people were sat in the main room to the right-hand side of the central bar as you enter. A couple of chaps did disappear to the other side of the bar to play pool. I didn't explore this area. A garden can be found at the rear.
Just the solitary real ale was on - Sea Fury. Similar to the ales, they also only had one flavour of crisps. So, Cheese & Onion it was!
Seems to have gone downhill rapidly since the last review.

Not expecting much from the outside and surroundings but was pleasantly surprised. The large interior has lots of beams, low ceilings and dark woodwork which gives a nicely historic, traditional feel. There are plenty of corners and some good pub furniture. The side nearest the car park is the restaurant area, with servery, while there is a good garden to the rear. Generally a good, well-run feel to the place, and a fair number of locals drifting in. A reasonable selection of ales and those sampled were in good order.
