The Lauders is a large pub with a central curved J-shaped serving counter that supports standard keg alongside Peroni. Alas the two hand pumps stood unused on the counter, but the service was polite. Green banquettes sit under the windows either side of the entrance and high tables run up the right wall opposite the serving counter that runs up the left before swinging around to the left rear where there’s more seating. There are a couple of raised areas with even more seating in the rear of the pub. Televisions throughout were airing Sky Sports during a recent Monday evening visit when there was a decent crowd in. This is an OK city centre pub that is much the same as the other city centre pubs in the area.

Took the latest photo of Lauders on Tuesday 17th March. Checked it out when it reopened late last year. Very good.

Lauder’s had to close since the fire at the nightclub near the Pavilion theatre weeks ago. Customers have been allowed to drink at the upper floor of The Royal Scot pub in Union Street in the meantime. I took photos last week....coming soon.
