David Ross left this review about The Castle
Presumably so called because of its relative proximity to Bothwell Castle, although that ancient ruin is around a mile away in the neighbouring village of Bothwell. This is an oddly structured pub with a L-shaped bar and similarly shaped lounge around an oblong serving area. The bar is quite cramped with not particularly comfortable seating in small booths around the walls, although there are also stools at the counter. The standard draught beers are available at average prices (i.e. around £3 a pint).
