Intermezzo is a small bar with a counter on the left that supports standard keg and is cash only. A bit of lino edges the counter before a carpeted area with a couple of tables to the right. Some banquettes and small tables are found up on a mezzanine at the rear that sits above the toilets. During a recent Monday evening visit the television was airing muted STV while some 60s background music played. The service was friendly and the I enjoyed my visit to this basic but unique little bar.

The Intermezzo sits across the road from the UGC Glasgow picture hall. There are plenty of restaurants and a Holiday Inn around the corner in the same area. The main Glasgow bus station is 100 metres up the road. The pub is a traditional style with a large mirrored gantry. There is a mezzanine area where one can escape from the main bar area which has a more mature crowd. Karaoke is a regular occurrence and has plenty of very good singers singing old and new. There is plenty of Tennents lagers and beers on tap. There is parking in a multi-storey car park 100 metres away.
