The village pub in Strathkinness is simply called the Tavern.
There are at least 3 fairly small rooms. One appears to be reserved for dining. Sunday roasts were being served there. We sat in the bar area. A number of locals were stood at the bar itself, whilst we sat in a corner opposite. A third room which you go through to get to the toilets was unoccupied.
Staff and customers seemed friendly and there were 2 ales to choose from - Black Isle Yellowhammer & Cromarty Kowabunga. The Kowabunga was enjoyable.
For some reason, there is an ultra large wooden spoon named the Tavern Spoon behind the bar. The mind boggles!
