Strongers . left this review about Feuars Arms

The Feuars Arms is a hidden Victorian architectural gem that has changed very little since being converted from a flour mill in 1859 by the Society of Feuars, who were basically rent collectors. It is recognised by CAMRA as having a “nationally important historic interior with original Edwardian fittings and displays of ceramics”. The pub is on a corner plot with Leaded stained-glass windows that face the street along both sides. The pub’s name is written in mosaic at the entrance, and the mosaic continues around the entire 59-foot bar and curved wooden topped brown glazed tile serving counter that runs across the rear wall. The walls are also covered in brown glazed Edwardian tiles and there are a couple of green glazed inset tile pictures that are notable. The counter is lined with stools, but due to its size there is very little seating around the exterior walls. However, there is a small room in the left rear where more seating can be found alongside a dartboard. Whilst this pub is impressive from the textured ceiling down the brown walls to the intricate floor, it does suffer from Scotland’s relative indifference to cask ale. Yes there are three hand pumps, but two were unused which left the not so Local Fullers London Pride as the lone real ale option. The service from the young barmaid was exceptionally friendly and I loved the surroundings, and yes even the original toilet fixtures, but once I’d had a good look around, I wasn’t upset to leave. That said, this is certainly a must visit for any pub aficionados and my rating reflects that.
