I'd planned to make the Ship Tavern my first stop on a Sunday crawl of Fife. Whatpub says it opens at 11am, Google says 10am and Yell says 12:30pm. Take your pick!

We were here for 11:30, again for 12:00 and again for 12:45. We later found it now closes all day on Sundays. Who could have guessed!

Maybe one day I will strike lucky and be able to pay it a visit. Oh for an accurate pub opening time website!

Considering that the Ship Tavern sits across the road from The Scottish Fisheries Museum which has a tearoom and 2 doors up from the supposed world famous Anstruther Fish Bar the Ship Inn still has meals available. The Tavern has recently been upgraded in the bar and the dining area as well as adding additional bedrooms. There is real ale available such as Edenmill Brewery from St Andrews, this went down well but as per a lot of pubs their ales constantly change.
