Looks like one of those how can we trap you places, order drink, can’t pay at counter “take a seat, I’ll bring it over”, the staff were quite friendly however. A cafe bar with a T-Bar of local and others, not uninteresting but meh. Didn’t see anyone actually eating and the menu was only for drinks so a bit odd all round. A sterling collection of bar blockers at work too, yank tourists I believe. The toilets and much more seating are down a spiral staircase towards the back. Bits of an older building persists above head height.

The pub has a modern upgrade to this pub which sits less than 200metres from Haymarket rail station. There is a choice of over 30 single malt whiskies varying from £5.00 to Glenfiddich 15yr. old at £8.50 all at 25ml. 17 gins with prices at £3.00 to £4.00 for 25ml, then double this up to 50ml with tonic water and the price is £6.50 to £9.00. The beers on tap gives a choice of over 8 with Belhaven Best at £3.95 to Peroni at £5.50. The bottled beers of which there are more than 6 off vary between £3.95 for Budweiser to Innus & Gunn at £4.75. Plus, plenty low / no alcohol choices.
