Rather nice pub up a steep hill from the main road. Ticks all the usual boxes: stone-built, covered in flowers, aged historic-feeling bar with beams etc. There is a dining area the other side of a central passageway, a small patio at the front and more garden behind. Beers from St Austell in good form. Could happily have sat here for some time.

This St Austell's pub is very welcome after a walk in the picturesque area. Thought it expensive when we were asked for £5.90 foe 3 halves of beer, but when tilled up it came to a more respectable £4.90. Sat in the garden with our beer and it went down well. There is a main bar and dining area, and another room that was in darkness so plenty of room if they are busy in season.
The above was in May 2010, and we were back there today following a walk on the coastal path, and I must say the pint of St Austell HSD went down very well. They had around 4 St Austell beers on, and the other beers my companions had were in good condition too.
