This is a a very tidy pub/restaurant, which has made the GBG. It is a detached, white rendered stone extended cottage, with a beer patio and garden area. The interior has one large room, with a smaller family room off at the back. The decor is stone, white painted stone and just white. The floor is a mix of flag, wood and matting - the ceiling is white and new beams. The serving bar is to the left on entry and there is a clear bar area around it - with stools and comfy seats. The rest of the pub is given over to food - we didn't eat so can't comment on that. There is a nice stone fireplace feature too. Landscape pictures adorn the walls. There was no TV that i saw and there was no background music. The service was ok and there were a couple of people in when we stopped off - but food seems to be the main thing. Beer; usual tap stuff with Doombar, St Austell Tribute, and Penzance Brewery's Jolly Farmer and Tater-Du on handpull - the two Penzance beers were fine. Many will like this - it is neat and tidy. I, as a traditionalist, struggle for that very reason - you feel you would be thrown out for dropping a beer mat. Very much worth a try for the beer and those that like tidy, and go in the garden if you are a misery like me.

Called in this pub as it is in the 2012 Good Beer Guide. It is on the main road through the village by the number 2 bus stop. The bus runs from Penzance to Helston. It is open 12 - 3.00 then again from 6pm. We were in time to order lunch and had a lovely fishermans lunch. Food a bit pricey but good proportions. The pub has a single bar room, and a door at the side had family room on it. There is a decent sized conservatory area and outside seating at the front and rear. There were 4 handpulls for real ale. A St Austell beer on one, 1 empty and the other 2 were both Penzance brewery, Jolly Farmer and Tater-Du. They were superb well kept beers. Lovely friendly pub dog. The lane opposite the pub goes down to Prussia Cove car park. The pub is well worth a visit.
