A cross between a gastropub and a cafe bar. It will do as a beer stop on the Water of Leith Walkway, too - there are four hand pumps, with three beers on at the time of visit. My half of Loch Lomond West Highland Way, a 3.7% generic pale was fine (NBSS 3) but didn't pull up any trees.

most friendly and welcoming staff in an lovely location.should be your first stop if visiting the botanic gardens.bit pricey but top beers(especially deuchers)and some of the best food(inc.restaraunts)in edinburgh by locally revered chef jamie.well worth a visit
