Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Dolphin Tavern
Fine old inn, down by the harbour, and naturally featuring a fish-led menu. Split-level interior, with the main bar in the centre, a lower seating / dining area near the front door and a pool room at the back. Very traditional interior, with - as you would expect - a mostly nautical theme. Also has some wooden benches out front. Three St Austell real ales from the four handpumps: Tribute, Cornish (in fine form) and HSD.

A nice-looking pub situated next to harbour and therefore ready to help relieve tourists of their spending money at source. To be fair, it does a decent job - whilst the beer (Three from St Austell, average condition on my visit) isn't necessarily particularly inspiring I'd rather have that than the normal dishwater served up in similar situations. The food again is decent - nothing to write home about but ticks the box. The fairly cosy interior is spread over two levels and - as pointed out below - is big on the nautical theme, but in a more sanitized and ordered manner than its rougher-and-readier neighbour, The Dock. Whilst I wouldn't necessarily advise you go out of your way to drink in the place if in Penzance, you should pop in for a quick half if you're nearby and haven't yet had your fill of St Austell beer.

Nest door to the Dolphin. A St Austell pub serving a good range. Pretty good food if I remember correctly
