Pleasant bar with reddish lighting, a red pillar holding up the ceiling and quite a few film posters (framed) on the walls, many of them with a red tinge (American Werewolf, Lost Boys, Close Encounters). I quite liked it here - the music was much calmer than the visuals - but these young people do speak very loud, don't they. Surprisingly, two hand pumps with a stout and a "sparkling ale" from local Pilot and Newbarns breweries respectively. The sparkling ale was an oddity, and £5.60/pint, but luckily I only had a half. I'd have stayed longer but some of those loud voices were triggering my tinnitus.
