I didn't know what to expect here, but was pleasantly surprised to find a strikingly decorated room with William Morris wallpaper, bright red seats and art nouveau posters from the likes of Klimt. The bar, in keeping with this, or perhaps prompting it if it is original, is a rococo affair of intricate wrought iron and carved wood, with mosaic panels on the front and in the bar back. I saw three hand pumps, though the bar is so long there may have been others in the distance I didn't notice: Harviestoun Blonde, Orkney Andrews Ale and Atlas Three Sisters were the beers on offer, and the one we tried was in good if not outstanding condition, though took a bit of pouring. It was fairly quiet at the time of our late afternoon visit, so I can't say what the atmosphere might be like, but for décor and beer this was just fine.
