Despite its name, this plain town bar seems to have no connection with golf at all. There is one long room with the bar in the centre, slightly divided into separate areas but all with white stucco walls and dark furnishings. Stewart Pentland IPA was badged on the pump, but it had sadly just run out. Nothing special but OK.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Golfers Rest
Quite an austere facade, but the interior has been refurbished with some comfortable seating. Partly opened out to leave a large-ish rectangular bar with a pool table to rear and enough space for one regular to drive his mobility scooter to the bar. No particular golf theme despite the name. Two handpumps, with Doom Bar and Deuchard IPA (£3.20) available. Overall, a bit dull, but a tidy appearance giving the impression of being a well-maintained establishment.
