Tucked away between the harbour and the Main Street. Old style interior as described below with sports pictures on the walls in addition to the painting of the Bass Rock. 3 real ales.

Well described in the previous review, even though it was 12 years ago it saves me having to describe anything other than the beers. There are three hand pumps with Abbot flanked by Scottish breweries, Bellfield and Broughton. My half of Bellfield Lawless Village was a little hazy, but not unpleasant (NBSS 2.5), and the Broughton Merlin's Ale, while being very similar in colour was crystal clear (NBSS 3.5) but not to my taste.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Auld Hoose
Impessive-looking pub with a very welcome real fire. Various things to look at - including the high ceiling, a large painting of a dramatic island (Bass Rock?) and six old whiskey barrels perched above the bar back. 'L'-shaped side room with more seating, pool table, etc. Just one handpump, with Inveralmond Ossian (£3.10) available. Overall, not bad, but worryingly quiet in the early evening.
