Now known as the Crown and Kitchen. Semi traditional mid-terrace pub with one L-shaped room. Despite the name it retains something of a pubby atmosphere, although sadly it has not been spared the ubiquitous grey paint job. One hand pump dispenses a Scottish microbrewed ale, which was in decent condition on my visit *forgot what I actually drank, but it was either Jarl or something similar. Football was being shown, muted and unobtrusive, on a small TV. Like many places these days food is a major part of the operation. Not a bad pub.
