Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Athletic Bar
Traditional corner boozer at the top of Hilltown with two main rooms. The main bar at the front is plainly furnished with some football memorabilia, but the compact area to one side retains its original (1911) tiny drinks tables (one little larger than a beer mat). The back room has been refurbished in a slightly more modern style, although the booth seating looks far from comfortable. No real ale, unfortunately, so went for the McEwan's 80/- (£2.60).

Traditional bar and lounge with original interior features still intact. Standard draught selection. The pub has a dartboard and is handy for the fitba at dens & tannadice.
