The Balloch House is a large dominating building on the east side of the River Leven. This 3-star hotel has an extensive menu of drink available. Cask Ales such as Doom Bar ale from Cornwall – British Craft Beers such as Hiver Blonde Honey Beer from West Sussex, Hawkes Ginger beer from London & beers. From the Thornbridge brewery such as Thornbridge Lucas a traditional Bavarian style lager, Thornbridge Jaipur an American style IPA & Thornbridge Versa a British take on a German wheat beer. Bottles lagers there is a choice of Peroni & Corona. Ciders available are Bulmers, Hawkes Urban Orchard & 2 choices of Old Moat. 8 choices of Gin. 7 choices of Whisky with the menu describing the taste. There is plenty of choices of food available and rooms to book. The train station is a few hundred yards to the west and is a termination point from Glasgow to visit the Balloch area.

Large and historic Vintage Inn by side of river with comfortable bar and adjoining restaurant. There is another less-interesting eating room to the rear and a decked outdoor area, with large car park to the rear. Three handpumps with changing beers (and Cask Marque listed) but still more of an eatery than a drinking pub.
