A smart hotel with the public bar to the left on entering and with every table occupied by diners, although there is also a restaurant to the rear. The smell of fish was very strong, but I persevered to the extent of perusing the keg taps on the bar and selecting a beer; I had seen a small seating area between foyer and bar and took my beer there, but had to return to the bar for a beer mat. The beer was Belhaven Twisted Thistle IPA, and as could have been predicted it was cold and fizzy. But, by comparison with the two preceding pubs, at least it was peaceful here, with just two other drinkers having a quiet conversation.

No real ale and an extremely limited number of pumps. It was hard to tell what the beers were they were all obscured by the price labels.
Mainly people having meals.
A rugby theme with caricatures of rugby players on the wall.
I noticed that the two alkies who were in the Douglas walked straight past this place to go to the Crown. Dont think its too popular with the locals.
But I suppose if you were just passing through it might be a good place to have a meal. Its very tidy. Cant fault it for tidiness.
