The Station Hotel is situated directly across from Dumfries railway station and is basically a hotel although there is a public bar consisting of around 7 standard beers and lagers plus a St Andrews draught which was just about acceptable.The place resembled a doctors waiting room more than that of a pub with everyone whispering, and found the atmosphere not unlike a Saturday afternoon at Ewood Park.
