David Ross left this review about Waterside
Unlike several of the other pubs in this seaside town, this one isn't actually on the waterside, but in a back street just inland from it. I'm not sure, therefore, why the name was chosen. It was exceptionally busy, nevertheless, on the Friday night I called in. An extremely loud karaoke session was in full flow, which almost caused the barmaid to serve me the wrong drink. The pint of Guinness I eventually obtained cost me £3.25. Tennent's and Stella Artois lagers and Belhaven Best were also on sale. In addition, there were two hand pumps, but I couldn't get close enough to the section of the counter where they were located to see what was in them!
