Brainy Pool left this review about Mermaid Inn
an iconic pub with its weathered bright blue exterior, it's sadly a bit of a tired disappointment on the inside. two sided but the main room I was in was fairly soulless and had the atmosphere of a greasy spoon café. other room less food oriented with pool, darts etc. the beer choice was a change from just about every other pub locally with no St Austells or Sharps in sight. Skinners Lushingtons was a refreshing and pleasant drink as usual. outdoor seating 'on the beach' tends to be overwhelmed with families and dogs in the daytime but a pleasant spot to relax later on.
