The City Bar is no-longer a pub in the traditional sense. The old building was demolished a few years ago, and it has been replaced by a very swanky cafe bar/restaurant, simply called The City. I was a barman in the old City Bar in the 1980s, and as it was my first job in Aberdeen, I still miss the place! The new cafe bar is very nice, but not a traditional pub in any sense.
