This is a pub and eatery that also does accommodation, both B&B and self catering. It is in fact a nesting of buildings that comprises of a former corn mill, including an overshot wheel, along with what was Cumplehorn Farm. It stands adjacent to the car-park for the village of Polperro, although once a hamlet of its own. The buildings are predominantly in white painted rough stone, with a large patio area as well.

The interior has a few rooms. You enter a small bar room, with a part of the serving bar facing you. The decor here is the same as the rest of the pub being exposed stone and cream/white walls, with fake wall beams, a cream and beam ceiling and a red carpet and stone mixed floor. There seems to be fairy lights all over the place. Up a few steps there is an L-shaped upper bar and restuarant room. There is a stone fireplace here and lots of photos and paintings of the mill and pub, with other pictures on the walls. Food is served here, or through an open arch into a more resturant area. I didn't eat so i can't comment on the food. I didn't see a TV and the background music was general and at a decent level. The service was fine and it was pretty busy on the couple of visits i made with holidaymakers.

Beer; the usual tap stuff with st Austell Tribute and an excellent Black Prince, along with a couple of Cotleigh Brewery beers, uncommon around here - these were Barn Owl and Tawny Owl, both very good.

This place feels very commercial, but you are in a tourist area! Saying that, the beer is class and it incorporates a different brewery to other local places. I was more than happy to visit and would definitely go back.

This was the first pub we came to after we parked at the entrance to Polperro.

On handpull there was Keltek Magik and Mr Murdock’s Golden IPA, St Austell Trelawney’s Harvest Ale and Tribute (though they sometimes offer Sharps and Skinners ales).

A former farm house but now with a basic lower bar and an upper bar set out as one main room and two small rooms to the side. It even does its own beer mats.

We liked it, especially the small rooms that are reserved for adults. GBG entry

This is the first watering hole you arrive at when entering the village. In Elizabethan times it was used as a counting house, and up till the 1950's was a working cornmill. It is set on a split level with the lower area having been converted from a cowshed.I tried a pint of Cornish cream which was excellent.
