GBG listed JDW which is a 2011 conversion from a pub and has little externally by way of Spoons branding. Not much of note inside, fairly plain. A laid-back atmosphere with friendly staff and my pint of Orkney Cliff Edge (one of the three guest ales available) was A1 (NBSS 4.5) – it’s clearly the only cask ale game in town and the pumps were being pulled regularly. Ale quality elevates it to a 7.

This one looks like a conversion of an original pub. The entrance has low tables and chairs with the bar area at the rear in what looks like a modern extension. There's a decent size patio to the right as well as a car park. There's a fire station across the road so you don't need to worry about the place burning down.
The bar has ten hand pumps which had three available soon, Abbot, Doom Bore, Bullmastiff Welsh Red, Phoenix Double Gold, Shepherd Neame Bishops Finger, Yeovil Star Gazer and Borough Iron Runner. I went for the Double Gold (£2.09) which was in excellent nick.
I thought this was a decent Spoons and it's GBG 2017 listed.
