Cask here was three dispensing handpumps and offering British Best Bitter from Utopian Brewing, Glimmer of Summer session pale ale from Quantock Brewing and the Sunshine Cider from Llanblethian Orchards. There was a single hand pump with the clip turned around. Keg offering of Guinness, Sharps Cold River cider, Budvar, Carling, Mahou, Aspall, Coors, Camden Pale Ale, Radicle hazy session IPA from Quantock.
Really old stone venue, rectangle along the frontage with the bar counter in the rear right-hand corner. Mixture of bare boarded and original flagstones. Some tall stool seating at the bar counter but otherwise regular tables and chairs and some church pew style benches. There is a rear beer garden, mostly grass with traditional picnic style benches. The venue has a regular quiz on Tuesday evenings. It is a very atmospheric venue and certainly my favourite and best beer venue in the town centre (albeit the Old White Hart pushes it close on the beer front).

Lovely old building in the pretty, compact centre of the old town. COVID meant we were outside so only a fleeting glimpse of the interior but it looked pretty nice and atmospheric, laid-out over what looked like two rooms; the left side being fairly modern and whitewashed whilst the right looked a bit darker with stone walls and more traditional. Booked in to eat and barely concealed chaos going on (understaffed - only two people on) with the guy in charge at one point emerging from the inside, letting out a primal scream, and heading back indoors again (the food was very nice, incidentally). Two ales from Glamorgan BC; Jemima's Pitchfork and Welsh Pale (NBSS 3, just). Enjoyment spoiled by the local yoof further up the garden deciding to regale us with some terrible tinny musical offerings from their phone – should have been told to put a sock in it by the staff.
