Cask was Jemima’s Pitchfork in decent shape plus Doom Bar. Keg was Cruz, Jute from Salt, Worthington CF, Carling, Coors, Aspall, Madri, Thatchers various flavoured ciders, Ffresh Juicy PA from Glamorgan Brewing (that was heavily promoted in the pitch side digital advertising at the Millenium that I was here to go to the Wales v SA mismatch), Inch's cider and Guinness.
Traditional venue with nice leaded glass windows. Counter on left-hand side on back wall. Bare boarded. Interesting ceiling recessed skylights. Sports and music orientated; screens dotted around room just below ceiling. Interesting shape. Lots of regular tables and chairs and packed with a male dominated crowd. It was pretty testy a couple of hours before KO, and I would have enjoyed this interesting venue on a quitter occasion – indeed some of the lads here were pretty trolleyed and aggressive by mid-afternoon on a Saturday, which takes some doing even in Cardiff.
