This is a monumentally large Brains Pub! Arrived here a bit before 9pm and in spite of the fact that it is one of the largest pubs I have ever visited I struggled to get a seat. People here were drinking, dining and quizzing and literally every table was taken. There is some outside seating around the perimeter but that wasn't the focus on my visit. This is epic success on packing punters into an average venue. Carpeted throughout and several TV’s and a massive quiz on going in my visit. Seating was via regular tables and chairs through the venue. TVs throughout showing the Olympics but all off when the quiz started!
Cask was a fulsome Brains range of Rev James, Brains Bitter, SA Gold, SA & Brains Dark. Keg beers were lagers (San Miguel, Amstel, Moretti, Cruz, Carlsberg & Peroni), ciders (regular and dark fruits Strongbow & Inch’s) plus Guinness, Neck Oil and Barry Island IPA.
Passed this place many times over the years on way elsewhere. Now that I have ticked it off, I will continue to do that in the future. There are more interesting Brains pubs than this one in Cardiff.

A modern pub with quite a swish interior. The main part of the spacious long, low building is laid up for dining, while at one end there is a hireable 'library' area and at the other more of a drinkers' section with a couple of sports TVs. A Brains pub, with Bitter, SA and Brawn on handpump and in fair condition.
