Traditional pub in a nice street. Turning left from the entrance takes you through a small seating area to the bar against the left-hand wall with a nice table in the big bay window in front thereof. Turning right from the entrance bar takes you to the dart board. Area in front of bar is tiled and behind the bar is a carpeted rectangle with a mixture of fabric banquettes and dining table chairs. A large TV sits on the wall at the end of the area, turned off during my visit. A right-angled spur off the start of this area takes you through another similar seating area to the large beer garden initially paved and ultimately grasses with picnic style integrated tables and seats. Not the loveliest of outside seating areas.

Cask options provided a moribund selection from Marstons Pedigree and Brains Bitter Best bitter. Keg options comprised of a typical selection of lagers (Carling, Moretti, Peroni & Stella) and ciders (Thatchers Gold & Aspall) plus Neck Oil, Guinness, and Barry Island IPA.

Thought this place was OK but feel it could offer a bit more. Chatted with the old school landlady for a short while on the way out and that was probably the highlight of my short stay here. The music selection was rather good and kept me entertained whilst replying to a few emails whilst consuming my pint of Brains Best.

Another Cardiff street and another Brains pub! This one features in the current Good Beer Guide, but in terms of ales, was no different from most of the others, apart from stocking a non-Brains beer on cask (Pedigree). The 2 Brains beers were Bitter & The Rev James. We instead gave the Brains keg Barry Island IPA a try.

The pub itself sits on a residential street. The bar is on the left-hand side as you enter, with various different areas of seating. We sat in the window at the front next to the bar. Music was playing a tad too loud. Although, the soundtrack was varied. TVs behind the bar were showing women's football. Apparently the Welsh team were in action.
