Three handpumps, one providing Doom Bar, one providing Bombardier from Eagle Brewery and one not in use. The keg offering was Staro, Madri, Alpacalypse from Salt, the vertical array of flavoured ciders from Thatchers, Worthington CF, Coors, Carling, Guinness, Thatchers Gold, BrewDog Black Heart stout and Sharps Atlantic Pale Ale.
A bit out of the way this one, albeit the nearest other pub to it is walking distance! The venue has some outside seating at the side of the pub but given it is astroturfed it isn’t particularly appealing. Inside the venue is sort of L shaped with the bar counter following the internal shape and had service on both sides. The area in front of the bar counter had stone flooring before reverting to carpet on the left-hand side, which had a single large table occupied by ladies who lunch on my visit. There was also a sofa array on that side in front of the fire grate housing a log burner. A short flight of stairs takes you up to a mezzanine dining area, but this was roped off on my visit. There were a few tall stools at the bar and a few tall tables in front of the bar to the right of the entrance. This area was also carpeted, and the extreme right-hand side housed a couple of dartboards and a rather jazzy darts-based wall covering. A door led to the outside seating at the back of the pub, which was partly grassed and partly decked with, as with the side of the pub, traditional picnic style benches. The venue was surprisingly busy on my mid-afternoon visit suggesting it is a popular lunch spot.
