The Inn on the River was a large grand looking corner pub that was in a nice location facing the river Taff.
Once inside the pub had a few different rooms,i had a drink in the lounge which was oblong shaped,the room was carpeted and had normal tables and chairs,it seemed to be pretty down at heel at the time on my visiy and was also empty.
The pub was a Brains tied house,there were no real ales on here which surprised me,i had a drink of keg Brains smooth bitter which was a pretty crap drink.
This was a fairly sad pub that could have had lots going for it.
Sadly this pub has now been pulled down along with some of the housing nearby,there are now modern looking flats on its site.
