Visited 22/02/25

Cask was a couple of hand pumps dispensing Brains Best. Keg offering of Stella, Coors, Carling, Carlsberg, SB original, Brains Smooth IPA, Moretti and Inch's cider.

Two bar venue. The public bar accessed from the front and was bare boarded with a slate skirt around the bar counter which was in the corner to the left of the entrance. Regular tables and chairs and a dartboard and pool table with two regular sized TV's showing the Eng v Scotland rugby. Lounge bar was a much bigger affair with the continuation of the bar counter, both sides having stools at the bar counter, being on the left-hand side of the connecting door. This time bare board skirt, with a large, carpeted area, some tall tables in front of the bar counter with some banquettes dividing the front and rear part of the room, the back part having banquettes around all the walls and regular tables in front thereof. The lounge bar was much livelier and had some bigger TV's to watch the rugby.

I recently visited this pub and was appalled by the service which i received. I ordered food which arrived after a lengthily wait and when it arrived it was also cold. I found a long hair in my daughters meal so we were forced to return this but everything seemed too much hard work for the staff there. I asked to speak to the landlady and she seemed even less bothered to have a disgruntled customer than her useless bar staff were. I will not be returning to this pub again.
