No cask. The two hand pumps on the bar counter didn't look operational. Keg offering of Inch's, original SB, John Smiths, Neck Oil, Carling, Cruz, Fosters, Moretti, three flavoured Old Mount ciders, Guinness, Brains smooth bitter.
This is a long narrow traditional pub on the busy bar street that is St Mary’s St. There is a small seating area out the front, part of which is covered around the entrance. Inside the front part is stone tiled, with the bar counter mid-part of this area along the left-hand wall. Seating between the bar counter and the entrance consists of leather banquettes along each wall serving several small tables. There is a drinking ledge on the right-hand wall opposite the bar counter with tall stool seating, plus a few of them at the bar counter also. There is some booth seating along that wall before a step up into another independently long bare boarded area with further booth tables down the right-hand wall. The rear of the pub widens a bit and there is a pool table at the very back that was subject to some animated play on my early evening visit. A lot of sporting memorabilia on the walls and several TV's showing racing and cricket and Sky Sports News accompanied by a 70's soundtrack. Nothing wrong with the venue, just let down by a very average beer selection.

Long, narrow and lacking any real charm. Two pumps but just Hancock HB (so-so condition) available. Not worthwhile.

The Borough is a narrow fronted pub that is on one of Cardiff's main shopping streets.
Once inside this was a fairly basic pub with a single room which ran to the rear, when i visited this pub it was a Brains tied house, there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Brains bitter which was a decent enough drink, the other beer was Brains SA.
THis was a decent enough pub to have a drink in.
