The kind of GBG place where the journey is better than the destination (a tidy 25 minute walk through the woods from the station which involves going under an impressive set of old bridge arches). Fairly modern and mimsy interior which was uneasily rammed with a mixture of wedding guests and punters watching the Wales v South Africa egg chasing. I then got to the bar only to be confronted with…Directors and Speckled Hen! I thought they'd have a bit more national pride. There are a few seats outside next to the River Taff but most weren’t high enough to give a view. This was where I took my greenish Directors (NBSS 2.5) and grappled with the Uber app in order to make my exit a bit swifter than I’d originally planned for.
