An impressive large building, probably Georgian, which has clearly fallen upon hard times. It is now stuck in a scruffy semi-industrial area behind Tesco and has lost the river. The interior is back to the 1980s, with pine tables, stackable chairs and a manky pink and cream colour scheme. Equally disappointing on the beer front, with keg Tetley Smooth or John Smiths. The smaller restaurant side appears unused, but it does boast a pool table at the back and some benches out at the front. On the plus side, the snack van in the car park does a good German sausage.

Known locally as the "pink palace" after a dodgy decorating scheme some years ago. A bit cliquey, with a small bar area.
