Not as appealing inside as the exterior might suggest, a rather scruffy L shaped thing though the servery is fairly attractive and the slate floor looks new. Spectacular views from the front seats to the slate mined scarred mountain opposite. Two naked pumps so a Guinness yet again, though it was a good one. Funereal atmosphere, with old men staring out the window and old ladies watching Bargain Hunt on the telly. Given its location next to the tourist throngs of the heritage railway and coach station you’d think they’d make a bit more effort to tempt outsiders in.
