Nice traditional place, surprisingly large as well. No telly 6 Nations (unlike almost every pub I did that day) so fairly quiet with a nice laid-back atmosphere. Mildly old skool interior with red and white colours, log burner, dark varnished wood and some nice glass, all set-off by nicely muted lighting. Bass was on and in decent nick (NBSS 3) with two other ale options and Stans cider. I liked it here and settled-in nicely. Not GBG listed but felt like a better bet on this visit than the other two Guided pubs in town. 7.5
